Dr. Pat Castle is the president and founder of LIFE Runners, the world’s largest pro-life team. His fearless faith and tireless efforts have united and inspired thousands to be heroically pro-life. A dynamic presenter, he shares amazing faith encounters, encouraging statistics, and life-saving experiences. Dr. Pat served in harm’s way as a career military officer and continues to serve in harm’s way as a sidewalk advocate at LeRoy Carhart’s abortion facility. He speaks across America.
About Dr. Castle
After a personal encounter with St. Padre Pio, Dr. Pat Castle discovered an original way to bring awareness to the pro-life cause by founding LIFE Runners. The international organization has over 11,000 teammates in 38 nations, making it the world’s largest pro-life team. Pat is known as an effective and inspiring leader who puts faith into action.
His other pro-life contributions include co-founding the national Law of Life Summit, A-Cross American Relay for Pro-Life, as well as the St. Pio Relay for Pro-Life. He has served as board chairman for Rapid City CareNet and is the research advisor for Sidewalk Advocates for Life.
Pat is a graduate of the Air Force Academy and went on to earn M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in chemistry from the University of Illinois at Urbana. On Sept. 11, 2001, Pat was stationed in Turkey with the unit closest to Osama Bin Laden. In addition, part of his Air Force service was spent as an associate professor at the Air Force Academy. Recently retired as a Lieutenant Colonel medical squadron commander, Pat also designed the Air Force Academy’s Ethics Across the Curriculum program.

A leading expert on how to reach abortion-bound mothers and fathers, Dr. Castle applies techniques learned at Notre Dame University’s Vita Institute. From 2012-2015, he served on the board and was the president of the organization that instituted the research. He has been the research advisor for Sidewalk Advocates for Life since 2014.
Defending Schools: Pro-Life is Pro-Science
A person’s understanding of when life begins is a matter of life or death for their children, but many biology teachers intentionally do not teach when life begins. Dr. Castle confronts the culture by teaching about the beginning of life in his chemistry classes. He empowers people to fill this culture gap, so students know the scientific truth about their life choices.
